Charlotte Brackett joined the DAPER Communications staff as the Sports Information Assistant in August of 2012. She is the primary contact for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country and track & field, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, water polo, squash, men’s heavyweight and lightweight crew, and softball.

Brackett graduated from the University of Richmond in 2012 with a degree in English and journalism. She was an Athletic Public Relations student assistant her senior year and has interned at Virginia Living Magazine and the Henrico Citizen newspaper. 

While at Richmond, Brackett was a member of the varsity swim team. During her career, she captured 20 gold medals at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships, seven individual titles and, in 2011, broke a 24-year old school record and claimed the conference record in the 200 freestyle. In 2012, she helped the Spiders win their 10th Atlantic 10 Conference Championship in 11 years. Brackett went on to compete in the 50 freestyle at the British Olympic Trials held in London in March of 2012.
