CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT coed sailing team moved up one spot in the latest Sperry – Top Sider College Rankings as announced by Sailing World earlier this week. Now ranked No. 13, the Engineers have steadily climbed up the standings since beginning the season in the No. 16 slot.
A member of the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association, MIT is one of 10 teams from the league to earn a national ranking. Fellow conference foes include: Yale (No. 2), Brown (No. 4), Boston College (No. 5), Roger Williams University (No. 6), Dartmouth (No. 9), Tufts University (No. 10), Harvard (No. 15), Connecticut College (No. 16), and Vermont (No. 20). The Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association was represented by seven squads, followed by two from the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association and one from the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference.
The Engineers return to action this weekend when they host the Firefly and FJ Invite and travel to the Women's Intersectional at Yale.
