Engineers Finish Sixth at Sharpe Trophy

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT sailing team finished sixth out of eight teams at the Sharpe Trophy hosted by Harvard University this past weekend. The Engineers placed second in the silver bracket with an 11-12 record in the round robin tournament. Roger Williams University won the event, finishing first in the gold bracket with a 19-4 ledger, followed by Harvard at 18-5, Boston College, at 11-12, and Tufts at 10-13.

The double round robin among all eight teams was followed by a triple round robin divided between the top and bottom four. Connecticut College finished in fifth place, topping the silver bracket at 12-11, while Yale University and Brown University slotted behind MIT, at 7-16 and 4-19, respectively.
