Cambridge, Mass. - Senior captain Jim (JM) Modisette added two more honors to his impressive resume as he was named the Robert H. Hobbs Sportsman of the Year and received All-America Honorable Mention accolades by the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association of North America (ICSA). The Hobbs Trophy is awarded annually to the Sportsman of the Year, which honors Robert H. Hobbs '64, a former Executive Vice President of ICSA, Past President of U.S. Sailing, and Past Chair of the U.S. Sailing Olympic Committee.
Last month, Modisette was selected as the NEISA All-New England Sportsman of the Year. The award, which was voted by Modisette's competitors, goes to the sailor displaying unequivocal skill in leadership and sportsmanship, and is widely considered one of the top honors any collegiate sailor can receive.
