CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - MIT Sailing opens the 2005-06 campaign in the Harry Anderson Trophy, this Saturday, seeking to improve on its eighth place finish in last year's competition. The Labor Day weekend event in New Haven, Conn., spans two days with 24 teams competing.
Without the services of graduated top skipper Jim (JM) Modisette, the Engineers are looking to sophomore Jack field as their guiding light in A-Division. Bolstering the crew will be junior Wyman Li. In B-Division, Tech will rely on sophomore Jacob Muhleman to head the ship, along with crew Chuck Head, a junior.
Following the Harry Anderson Trophy, MIT, ranked 14th nationally last year, will open at home in the Women's Man-Labs Trophy on Sept. 10, before hosting the MIT Invitational the following day.
