Squash Outmatched by Lord Jeffs
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In its first action
following the holiday break, the host MIT squash team succumbed to
Amherst College, 9-0, on Tuesday. Andrew Yoon, playing in the No. 1
slot, picked up the only game win for the Engineers. The loss moved
the Cardinal and Gray’s ledger to 2-7 on the year while the
Lord Jeffs improved to 3-0.
Yoon evened his match at 1-1 with Steve Severson, winning 11-9,
after falling 11-5, in the opening game. But Severson took the next
two tilts by 11-4 counts.
Also winning for the Lord Jeffs were Charles Loesch-Quintin, Brian
Warner, Kevin Cecala, Tom Rapisarda, Matt Arnold, Todd Lavine, Lee
Banta, and Saahil Sud.
