MIT Defeats Boston College, 7-2

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT squash team recorded a hard-fought 7-2 victory over Boston College on Saturday. The Engineers remain undefeated on the season as they picked up their third consecutive win.

In the No. 1 position, West Hubbard battled Josh Rosenblatt for an 11-6, 11-8, 7-11, 11-13, 11-7, win. Mick Zomnir dropped a back-and-forth battle with Josh Ko in the next spot while Robert Habib fell, 11-3, 11-6, 11-6, in the No. 3 slot. John Kucharczyk outlasted Teddy Taylor, 6-11, 11-7, 11-9, 4-11, 11-9, as Austin Anderson defeated Max Ortwein in four games. Abhi Mitra did not surrender a point in the opening game of his No. 6 match and went on to register wins of 12-10 and 11-6 for the sweep. Joey Lemberg, Connor Kirschbaum, and Steve Howland followed suit with three-game victories as Sunny Long rounded out the Engineers with an 11-5, 12-10, 5-11, 3-11, 11-5 win in exhibition play.
