Engineers Defeated by Harvard, 9-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT squash team traveled to face cross-town rivals, Harvard, on Sunday afternoon, after winning against Boston University and Boston College at home the day before. There were a handful of close games but the Engineers ultimately fell, 9-0. Their record is now 5-12 for the season.

In the top position, Alexander Ma defeated sophomore David Bian (Austin, Texas) 11-7, 11-7, 11-2. In the No. 2 position, sophomore Gray Riley (Wellesley, Mass.) was topped by Samuel Goldberg, 11-7, 11-2, 11-8.

Junior Abhi Mitra (Medford, Mass.) played well but was edged by Charles Cabot, 11-5, 11-7, 11-4. Senior Connor Kirschbaum (Suffield, Conn.) was close to catching up in his final game but ultimately lost to Seth Neel, 11-5, 11-5, 11-8.

MIT will next travel to Bowdoin College for the Individual Division III Mid-Season Nationals that will take place on Friday, Feb. 8, starting at 5:00 p.m.
