Westwood, Mass. (February 13) -- As the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its 2017-18 Men's Basketball Academic All-Conference Team, a league-high eight MIT student-athletes have been recognized as 24 individuals overall earned the accolade.
Honorees must have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2017 fall semester, achieved second-year academic status and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
For the Engineers, juniors Bradley Jomard (Paris, France), Dakota Pierce (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) and Tim Roberts (Oak Bluffs, Mass.) were each honored for the second time in their careers. Junior Cameron Korb (Los Gatos, Calif.), along with sophomores Connor Bradley (Boca Raton, Fla.), Aidan Einloth (Grayslake, Ill.), Francis McCann (Guadalajara, Mexico) and Christien Williams (Charlotte, N.C.) were recognized for the first time.
The Engineers are currently 18-5 overall and 8-4 in NEWMAC play as the team is back in action with a road game at Clark University on February 14th beginning at 7 p.m. in Worcester.
