      <title>MIT Crew Competes at Eastern Sprints</title>

      <description>WORCESTER, Mass. &#x2013; MIT&#x2019;s heavy and lightweight crew teams both had multiple entries at the 2012 Eastern Sprints Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester. Boding well for the future of both programs, the Engineer freshman teams had the best finishes at the regatta, with the freshman lightweight team taking second in the petite final of its division.</description>

All four MIT Crew squads: open and lightweight women and heavyweight and lightweight men, met in Florida just after the New Year to row on the Banana River and Sykes Creek, gaining considerable improvements in technique and fitness.  Practicing twice daily on the water, all four MIT Crew squads logged valuable miles with an eye on successful spring racing.</description>
