2011-12: Competed in the # 8 seat for most of the season ... rowed in the #6 seat on the championship team in the Head of the Charles (10/22)… member of the freshman team in the #8 seat at Columbia (3/31); against Boston College, Trinity, and Bates (4/7); against UMass (4/21); at Wisconsin with Dartmouth (4/28) and at the Eastern Sprints (5/13)… competed in the #8 seat on the varsity team at the Princeton Chase (10/30) ... over the summer rowed with the Vesper Boat Club in Philadelphia … part of a crew there that won the Intermediate 8 national championship … team also won the under 23 8 Canadian Henley championship. 

Off The Water at MIT: Majoring in aerospace engineering … Chi Phi fraternity.

High School: A 2011 graduate of the Shipley School … team MVP … Stotesbury champion in 2010 … club national champion in 2010 … rowed with the Philadelphia Sculling Club … also a member of the swimming team … AMC 10 … National Merit finalist.

Personal: Son of Judith and Brian Colgan … family member was on the crew team at the University of Pennsylvania.
