Men's Heavyweight Crew Continues Season at Princeton Chase

PRINCETON, N.J. - MIT men's heavyweight crew team took part in its second regatta of the season when it traveled to New Jersey for the Princeton Chase on Sunday morning. The Engineers fielded a pair eights in the varsity competition, a race that included 49 boats.

Boat A finished the three-mile course in 28th place with a time of 13:20.130, 7.34% behind host Princeton's A boat, who finished first in 12:25.382. The Cardinal and Gray ended up finishing two seconds behind Cornell's C team and less than a second ahead of Holly Cross' A boat.

MIT's B boat crossed the line a little over a minute later in 45th position with a time of 14:22.042, edging out Dartmouth's and Georgetown's B boats by a few seconds.

The Engineers will return to the water next weekend when they take part in the Dartmouth Green Monster Invitational on November 3.
