      <description>CAMBRIDGE, Mass. &#x2013; The MIT rowing program saw six current student-athletes, two incoming freshmen, and one alumna compete at the 2010 US Rowing Club National Championship held July 14-18 in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Kate Hoff &#x2019;08, Richard Suarez &#x2019;11, Lucas Goodman &#x2019;11, Ben Potash &#x2019;14, and Andrew Schlaepfer &#x2019;14 earned medals while Lauren Ayers &#x2019;13, Meghan Dow &#x2019;12, Katie Everett &#x2019;12, and Clare Flanagan &#x2019;11 turned in solid performances.</description>

      <description>CAMBRIDGE, Mass. &#x2013; Coming on the heels of one of the most successful campaigns in Institute history, MIT placed 11th among all Division III schools in the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) annual Learfield Sports Directors&#x2019; Cup. This was the highest ranking for the Engineers in the 14-year history of the program and the first time they were the best performers in the New England Women&#x2019;s and Men&#x2019;s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).</description>

Making their fourth appearance at the race, the Engineers entered boats in the Varsity and Freshmen Lightweight Eight events as well as two boats in the Lightweight Fours events. All signs are positive that the Cardinal and Gray is gaining speed, but as head coach Ted Benford said after the race, "We are focused on continuing to develop into a competitive spring racing program."</description>
