SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The MIT men's lightweight crew team traveled to California for the 111th annual IRA National Championship Regatta, which took place from Friday, May 31 through Sunday, June 2. Tech entered one varsity four boat in the championships, competing in their first race early on Sunday morning.
WORCESTER, Mass. - The MIT men's lightweight crew team entered four boats in the 2013 Eastern Sprints Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday morning. Finishing highest for the Engineers were their varsity eight and second varsity eight boats that both came in seventh place overall in their respective heats.

Dad Vail, which has been around for 75 years, is the largest collegiate regatta in the United States, with over 100 colleges and universities and thousands of student-athletes taking part in the event each year.
HANOVER, N.H. - The MIT men's lightweight team traveled to New Hampshire to take part in the Biglin Bowl against Dartmouth and Harvard on Saturday morning. The Engineers entered three Varsity 8 boats in the event, finishing second in two of them and third in the other.
DERBY, Conn. - The MIT men's lightweight crew team traveled to Derby, Conn. to take part in the Joy Cup against Yale and Georgetown on Saturday morning. The Engineers entered two Varsity 8 boats and two Varsity 4's, finishing in second place in three of the events and first in another.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - On a sunny, blue-skied Saturday morning, the MIT men's lightweight crew team opened up its spring season against the University of Pennsylvania first and the University of Delaware later on in the day. The Engineers fielded four boats in four different heats, three of which were Varsity 8's and the last was a Novice 4 that was a combination of MIT and Penn rowers.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - With the sun beaming on a warm, fall morning, MIT men's lightweight crew wrapped up its fall season with a good showing at the Foot of the Charles. The event included both lightweight and heavyweight crews, battling against the clock to see who would come out on top. In the varsity 4+ event, MIT's A crew crossed the line first in 26th place with a time of 14:19.9.
HANOVER, N.H. - Over the weekend, the MIT men's heavyweight and lightweight crew teams traveled to Dartmouth College to take part in the Green Monster Invitational, a novice-only three-mile event. The Engineers entered two lightweight boats and one that was a mixture of heavyweight and lightweight rowers.
