WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – On the final day of the 2014 Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships, on Lake Mercer, the MIT men’s lightweight crew team wrapped up its 2013-14 season, with both its Varsity 8 and Varsity 4 crews in action.
WORCESTER, Mass. – MIT’s men’s lightweight crew team traveled to Lake Quinsigamond for the 2014 EARC Sprints Regatta on a sunny Sunday morning. Tech entered three crews in the event. Overall, the Engineers earned 12 points, finishing just behind Dartmouth College with its 13 points in the Jope Cup.

This is the final regatta of the fall season; the Engineers will not return to the water until April of 2014 for the start of the spring season. HANOVER, N.H. – MIT men's lightweight crew traveled to New Hampshire for the annual Dartmouth Green Monster Invitational, a novice rowing event that took place on an uncharacteristically warm November Saturday. Tech entered just one boat in the regatta and combined with members of the MIT women's lightweight crew team to make another.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - On a beautiful, clear-skied Saturday in Cambridge, the MIT men's lightweight crew team opened the season at the 49th annual Head of the Charles Regatta. Tech entered just one boat in the race, a Lightweight Eights boat, that was the second to last heat to race on the final day of competition.
CHUNGJU, South Korea – Former MIT crew members Michael Hwang ’13 and Steve Young ’09 recently represented the United States in the World Championships that took place in South Korea on Tangeum Lake from August 25 – September 1. Hwang was part of the men’s lightweight team and Young was on the men’s heavyweight team during their time at MIT.
