Jeff Forrester enters his fourth season at MIT. Prior to working with the Engineers, he served as the Men's Sweep Coach at the Riverside Boat Club in Cambridge. Forrester also coached Riverside's Sculling and High Performance Groups, preparing numerous athletes for national and international competition.
Forrester rowed for Rutgers from 1995-99, earning a silver medal at the IRA regatta in his senior year. After college, he competed on the national and international levels, earning multiple gold medals at Elite Nationals, Canadian Henley, and the Head of the Charles. Forrester represented the United States at the 2007 World Championships in Munich in the Lightweight 8, where he placed fifth.
