Men’s Fencing Collects NFC All-Star Accolades

Junior Joseph Rafidi, freshman Jack Greenfield, and freshman Nicholas Sledeski

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the 10th year in a row the MIT men's fencing team received multiple All-Star awards from the Northeast Fencing Conference (NFC) as it picked up a trio of honors. Junior Joseph Rafidi (Los Angeles, Calif.) and freshman Jack Greenfield (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) were named to the Epee First Team while freshman Nicholas Sledeski (Belle Mead, N.J.) earned a spot on the Sabre Second Team.

Rafidi received his first nod after compiling a record of 25-3 in conference competition as Greenfield produced a total of 21-3 in epee action. Sledeski rounded out the group with a 27-3 performance against his sabre foes.
