MIT Places League-High 39 Student-Athletes on NEFC All-Academic Team
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT was at the head of the class when the 2012 New England Football Conference All-Academic team was released by the league today. The Engineers led the conference with 39 players earning the honor; the highest number of MIT student-athletes that has even been honored by the league for academics.
To qualify for the team, a player must have completed three semesters at the same institution and maintain a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. A total of 230 student-athletes from all 16 member institutions collected accolades. MIT's honorees are listed below.
