MIT's offensive coordinator, Ray Butler will be in his fourthconsecutive season and fifth overall on the MIT football coachingstaff in 2011. He will also be serving as the Engineer's offensiveline position coach.
Butler is a veteran football coach in the New England area,totaling over 18 years of coaching experience. Prior to joining theMIT staff in 2008, Butler served as the offensive coordinator atFramingham State, Curry College, and Mount Ida College. He has alsoserved on the staffs at UMass-Lowell and the University of RhodeIsland working with the offensive line, running backs andcoordinating video. Butler began his collegiate coaching career atMIT in 1999 when he was the running backs coach.
Outside of his MIT coaching duties Butler has worked as aphysical education instructor at both the elementary, high schooland collegiate levels. He is currently on the staff at the BostonLatin School where teaches physical education classes for grades8-12.
Butler attended Boston University, earning a bachelor of sciencedegree in human movement in 1993. He went on to get his Master's inhuman movement from BU in 1995.
