Rullan Earns Pilgrim League Player of the Week Honors
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Following two outstanding performances in net, MIT junior goalie Christopher Rullan (Wexford, Mass.) was selected for Pilgrim Lacrosse League Player of the Week accolades. In a 2-0 week for the Engineers, he generated 21 saves, a 2.29 goals against average, and a .840 save percentage as he allowed four goals in 105 minutes of action.
Last Wednesday, Rullan turned away all four shots on goal in three quarters of a 14-2 win over Regis College. His solid play between the pipes continued on Saturday against Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Rullan compiled 17 saves, four groundballs, and one caused turnover as MIT defeated the Buccaneers, 12-4.
The Engineers (6-6, 2-2 Pilgrim) close out the regular season and conference play this week. First up for the Cardinal and Gray will be a road game at Wheaton College on Wednesday, April 25 and then it will host Clark University on Saturday, April 28.
