Samuel Cannon Receives NEWMAC Accolades
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman goalie Samuel Cannon (Scarsdale, N.Y.) was tabbed for NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Week honors following a solid outing against league foe U.S. Coast Guard Academy last Saturday.
In the first start of his intercollegiate career, Cannon finished with two saves in a 2-0 win over the Bears. He also intercepted numerous crosses and throw-ins to deny Coast Guard a chance to get on the board in a pivotal league game.
