Men's Soccer Named Co-ECAC Champion

Nov. 17, 2004

CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - Due to last weekend's snow storm and scheduling difficulties, the ECAC has declared MIT and Johnson & Wales University Co-Champions of the 2004 New England Division III Men's Soccer Tournament. This is the first-ever post-season title in the history of the program. The Engineers finish the season with an overall record of 14-3-1, marking the fourth year in a row they have totaled at least 10 wins.

Last week, the NEWMAC announced the Men's Soccer All-Conference Teams, with MIT collecting five honors. Tri-captains Dan Griffith, Walter Song, and Jose Ramon Torradas were named to the First Team for the second year in a row, adding to their Second-Team selections in 2002. Seniors Robert Pilawa and Morgan Mills closed their careers with their first All-Conference accolades, as Pilawa was tabbed for the First Team while Mills was chosen for the Second Team.
