Men's Soccer Receives NSCAA Team Academic Award

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The MIT men's soccer team received its third consecutive National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award after posting a team GPA of 3.48 for the 2004-05 school year. Out of 29 Division III teams earning this honor with a minimum GPA of 3.0, the Engineers finished tied for second behind Pomona-Pitzer College (3.53) and University of Rochester (3.48). Among 59 teams in the nation across all three divisions, Tech was tied for fourth. The University of Pennsylvania led the way (3.6), followed by Lynn University (3.57) from Division II. MIT was the sole representative from the NEWMAC to collect these accolades.
