Sept. 15, 2006
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Devoted Cardinal and Gray men's soccer followers will receive quite a treat this Saturday, Sept. 16, when they will have the chance to watch MIT's away match against the Clark Cougars from the comforts of their own homes or dorms. Those who wish to view the game can go to http://www.clarku.edu/athletics/cougarcast/ and follow the proceedings as they unfold live on their computer screens. The game, which marks the opening of both schools' NEWMAC schedules for the 2006 season, is slated for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff.
Both teams are off to hot starts in the new campaign, as the Engineers have begun the season 3-1-0 while the Cougars stand undefeated at 3-0-1.
It's sure to be a tense match-up, as the two squads split a pair of 2-1 decisions last year. Clark defeated Tech in the regular season, but MIT turned the tables and reversed the score line when it overcame the Cougars in a thrilling NEWMAC Semifinal.
