Carl Anhalt enters his fourth season as an assistant coach for MIT's Swimming & Diving program. Anhalt was a varsity swimmer and water polo player at the California Institute of Technology. He graduated in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. As a student-athlete, he lettered in swimming and was trained as a peer-counselor for both teams. After graduating, Anhalt became very involved in masters swimming and water polo where he began coaching with West Hollywood Aquatics. He gradually extended his coaching to age group teams and private instruction, while building his own tutoring business for high school students in Los Angeles.

Anhalt is a graduate student at Tufts University and he enjoys working with gifted students at "the other Tech"!
