    Four Engineers Named to CoSIDA Men's Academic All-District Team CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Four MIT student-athletes were named to the Capital One Academic All-District At-Large team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday afternoon. Seniors Craig Cheney (Sherwood, Ore.), Joey Rafidi (Los Angeles, Calif.), Paul Syta (Fairport, N.Y.), and Edwin Zhang (Falls Church, Va.) will represent MIT on the national ballot and will vie for Academic All-America honors, which will be voted on next month.

The Engineers officially opened their season at the ITA Regional Championships at Middlebury College this past weekend, wrapping up the tournament with showings in the Round of 16 by senior Edwin Zhang (Falls Church, Va.) in singles play and sophomore Kevin Wang (Havertown, Pa.) and junior Eugene Oh (Alpharetta, Ga.) in doubles.

    MIT Men's Tennis Opens Season at ITA Regional Championships MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Five members of the MIT men's tennis were selected to take part in the USTA/ITA Men's Tennis Regional Championships at Middlebury College over the weekend. MIT was just one of twenty New England Division III schools that traveled to Vermont for the tournament, which took place from Friday through Sunday, Sept. 28-30. After the first day of competition on Friday, only 16 of the 64 singles players and half of the 32 pairings were left in the field.

    MIT Tennis Players Named All-Americans by ITA SKILLMAN, N.J. – A pair of MIT tennis players were named All-Americans yesterday when the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the 2013 All-America Teams for Men’s and Women’s NCAA Division III Tennis. The Engineers had one player each from their men’s and women’s teams earn the honor. Senior Lauren Quisenberry (Corpus Christi, Texas) earned her second career All-America distinction while senior Edwin Zhang (Falls Church, Va.) was named for the first time.

    MIT Men's Tennis Earns ITA Academic Awards CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT men’s tennis team was recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for its success in the classroom during the 2012-13 season with the release of the organization’s academic award winners. The Engineers were recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team for the sixth consecutive year and, in addition to the team award, eight individuals were named ITA Scholar Athletes.
