BOSTON, Mass. – As it has done on two other occasions so far this season, the MIT men's tennis team picked up New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Doubles Team of the Week honors on Monday. Senior Curtis Wu (Yorba Linda, Calif.) and sophomore Kevin Wang (Havertown, Pa.) received the weekly honor for the first time as a pair after a successful week on the courts. Last week, MIT blanked Salem State University on Thursday afternoon before handing Clark University a 6-3 loss in a NEWMAC match on Saturday. Wu and Wang were victorious in both of their doubles matches at No. 1, easily winning against Salem State, 8-1, before having to fight harder to defeat the Cougars by a score of 8-6. On Wednesday, April 16, the Engineers will face conference rival Emerson College at 3:00 p.m. The match will be played on MIT's courts with the Lions acting as host. Tech will then play three away matches before the NEWMAC Tournament at the end of the month.
