Men's Tennis Earns Seven NEWMAC Honors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The New England Men's and Women's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its men's tennis post-season awards on Tuesday. MIT, the conference regular season and tournament champion, led the way with five First-Team selections. Wheaton College collected the highest number of accolades with eight while Babson College rounded out the awards with three honors.

Evan Tindell was named First Team All-Conference at the No. 1 singles position for the third straight season. Eric Beren was tabbed NEWMAC Rookie of the Year and also found a spot on the All-Conference First Team at No. 3 singles. Kevin Durand was a First Team selection at No. 6 singles and Mark Egan earned Second Team honors at No. 4 singles. Tindell and Thomas Dohlman were selected to the First Team for No. 1 doubles while Beren and Egan earned the same honor in the No. 2 position.
