Westwood, Mass. (April 17) -- MIT sophomore Chris Washington (Frisco, Texas) has been named as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his performance vs. No. 19 Williams College. This marks the first weekly honor for Washington.

In Saturday's dual meet with the Ephs, Washington won the high jump with a height of six feet, seven inches. The performance was the top mark in the NEWMAC this week, is second overall for the league this season behind his teammate and is currently 16th nationally. Washington was also third in the long jump at 20 feet, 7.75 inches and was a member of the MIT 4x100 relay team.
