Why I Chose MIT: When I was researching schools as a junior in high school, I had the opportunity to visit MIT and meet current students as well as the volleyball coaches. Before visiting, I was apprehensive about the social dynamic of the school, as well as the competitiveness of the volleyball program. However, visiting and having the chance to interact with those I would see on a daily basis during my time at MIT made me comfortable that I would fit in well at the school, and helped convince me that I would have the opportunity to play volleyball at a high level. Those factors, combined with the academic rigor and reputation of MIT made my decision easy.
