Men's Volleyball Earns Spot in AVCA Coaches Poll
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the second straight year, the MIT men's volleyball team was ranked No. 9 in the preseason edition of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Men's Top 15 Coaches Poll. In the eight years the Engineers have appeared in the preseason rankings, this the fourth time they have cracked the top 10. In addition, MIT extends its streak of consecutive weeks in the national poll to 25.
The Cardinal and Gray opens the 2013 campaign on Tuesday, Jan. 22 with a home match against Wentworth Institute of Technology and will then square off with currently ranked foes #1 Springfield College, #5 Stevens Institute of Technology, #6 Nazareth College, #7 Rivier College, #10 Medaille College, #11 Vassar College, #13 Baruch College, and #15 Elmira College.
