
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - For the second year in row, MIT was the lone Division III program to have its mens and womens volleyball teams qualify for the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. Coming on the heels of one of the most successful campaigns in Institute history, MIT placed 11th among all Division III schools in the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) annual Learfield Sports Directors Cup. This was the highest ranking for the Engineers in the 14-year history of the program and the first time they were the best performers in the New England Womens and Mens Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).
