CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - A balanced attack helped power the MIT men's volleyball team to a 30-9, 30-5, 30-10 victory over Southern Vermont College in a North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England Division match on Friday. With the win, the Engineers improved to 4-5 overall and 3-1 in conference action.
Troy Tamas led the way with seven kills and six aces while Scott Pollom picked up six kills and three aces in two games. Randolph Li and Benson George both finished with four kills and two blocks. Jeremy Velazquez had a solid outing, registering five aces, four kills, and three digs. Daniel Sngiem collected three digs as Caine Jette distributed 13 assists. In one game, Michael Demyttenaere earned three aces while Tim Lee dished out five assists.
