CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - MIT extended its winning streak on Saturday by handing nationally-ranked No. 5 Rivier College its first NECVA New England division loss since 2002. The Engineers (11-0, 8-0 NECVA) blanked the Raiders, 31-29, 30-25, 30-27, before sweeping Elms College, 30-18, 30-18, 30-17.
Against Rivier, Rob McAndrew posted a team-high 18 kills and four aces. Praveen Pamidimukkala tallied 16 kills and a pair of solo and assisted blocks. Michelangelo Raimondi contributed nine kills while Jordan Wan finished with a team-high 10 digs and 42 assists.
McAndrew once again paced Tech's attack against the Blazers, recording 12 kills and two assisted blocks. Pamidimukkala notched 11 kills as Bob Aspell tallied six. Raimondi and Ryan Dean each totaled five kills and two aces. Jason Park finished with a team-high four aces and five digs while Wan dished out 38 assists.
