MIT Outlasts Johnson & Wales, 3-2

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Three players recorded double-doubles as the MIT men’s volleyball team posted a hard-fought 30-20, 30-28, 26-30, 27-30, 15-13 victory over host Johnson & Wales on Wednesday night. The Engineers improved to 10-9 on the year and extended their season-high winning streak to five matches.
Michael Demyttenaere was a force to be reckoned with at the net as he tallied 17 kills and 10 blocks to go along with six digs. Scott Pollom notched 10 kills, a .364 hitting percentage, seven blocks, and four aces as Garrett Winther registered 13 kills, 13 digs, and five blocks. Eric Reuland posted 14 kills, eight digs, and three blocks while Eugene Jang amassed 24 digs. Tim Lee finished the night with 55 assists and 13 digs.
