CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The MIT men's volleyball team received the No. 13 seed in this weekend's North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) Championship Tournament to be held at Endicott College. The Engineers will face No. 4 Medaille College of the Western Division on Friday, March 31 at 4:00 p.m. with the winner playing Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
The first meeting between Tech and the Mavericks occurred last season at the Endicott Tournament. Then nationally-ranked No. 6 Medaille defeated No. 10 MIT, 30-25, 17-30, 30-23, 28-30, 16-14, in the final match of the weekend. All-Tournament Team selection Rob McAndrew led the Engineers with 16 kills, four aces, and four solo and assisted blocks. Praveen Pamidimukkala notched 14 kills while Ryan Dean and Bob Aspell posted seven kills each. Matthew Ng totaled a team-high 12 digs while Jordan Wan dished out 41 assists.
