NORTON, Mass. - Sophomore Svetozar Stefanovic scored five goals to help lead the Brown University men's water polo team to a thrilling 10-9 non-league victory over the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on the Bears' senior night hosted at Wheaton College tonight.

Brown got off to a great start, jumping out to a 4-0 lead after the first eight minutes of play. However, MIT came back strong in the second to outscore Brown 4-1, but Bruno still had a one-goal advantage heading into the half.

The Engineers continued the momentum into the third lighting up for four more goals while holding the Bears to two to gain a 8-7 lead heading into the final quarter. But Brown rallied back in the fourth and outscored the Engineers 3-1 to earn the victory.

Adding to Brown's offense was freshman James McNamara with three goals, while Michael Hartwick and Corey Schwartz tallied one each. Freshman Walker Shockley led the defense with 10 saves in goal.

The Engineers will host next weekend's CWPA Northern Division Championship. Tech has secured the No. 3 seed in the tournamet and will open up against the No. 6 seed on Saturday, November 6 at 1:30 p.m.
