Fordham Edges Out MIT, 9-8, in CWPA Championship Ninth Place Game
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – A 4-0 run during the last four minutes of the second period propelled Fordham University to a 9-8 victory over MIT in the ninth-place game of the CWPA Championship on Sunday morning. Junior Ory Tasman (Orlando, Fla.) paced the Engineers with three goals and an assist as they closed their season with a record of 15-17.

Tech outscored the Broncos, 7-5, during the final two periods and received fourth quarter strikes from juniors Zach Nelson (La Jolla, Calif.) and Matthew Orton (Los Altos, Calif.), and freshman Kyle Archer (Clovis, Calif.).

MIT Ends Princeton Univ. Tournament With A Win Against Iona
PRINCETON, N.J. – MIT’s water polo team concluded its first weekend of competition by fending off a late rally its final match to earn a 16-13 victory over Iona College on Sunday afternoon at the Princeton University Tournament. Tech concluded the weekend 1-1, and picked up a 14-13 exhibition victory against Diablo Valley College, which occurred prior to their win against the Gaels.

Andriole Named Interim Head Coach of MIT Water Polo Program
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT Director of Athletics, Julie Soriero, has announced that David Andriole will be the interim Head Coach of the Engineers’ water polo program. He replaces Ivan Ivovic, who has resigned from the position.
