MIT Receives USTFCCCA Accolades After Record-Breaking Cross Country Campaign
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The MIT men's and women's cross country teams were honored by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), as both teams received the USTFCCCA's All-Academic Team award. In addition, a number of student-athletes received individual accolades.

Three MIT Student-Athletes Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - A national-leading three MIT student-athletes were awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships following the 2008 fall season. Football standouts James Oleinik and Thomas Franklin, and men's cross country senior Jake Ruzevick, earned scholarships totaling $22,500.

Men's Cross Country Finishes Eighth at NCAA Regional
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The MIT men's cross country squad saw its season come to a disappointing end Saturday at the New England Regional championship, finishing 8th out of over 50 teams and failing to qualify for the national championship meet. Despite entering the meet as the fifth ranked team in New England and No. 23 nationally, the Engineers failed to finish high enough to earn the program's first bid to NCAA championship since 2001.
