CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT's cross country program announced its 2012 schedule, a seven-meet lineup, all of which take place on the road. The season officially begins when the teams travel to the Keene State Invitational on September 1. Two weeks later, they compete at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational, where both the squads finished atop the standings last year.
After racing in the Purple Valley Classic (Sept. 22) and the NEICAAA Championship (Oct.7), the Engineers will compete in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Championship on October 27. MIT has captured the men's and women's titles the past five years.
On November 10, the Cardinal and Gray will head to Westfield, Mass. to square off against other teams in the NCAA Regionals and, if successful, will then head to the NCAA Championships on November 17. In 2011, the women's team finished fifth and Dan Harper '12 represented the men's side.
