ALBANY, N.Y. - The men's cross country team put on an impressive performance Saturday at the 39th Annual University of Albany Cross Country Invitational, finishing seventh of 27 teams. Leading the way for MIT was senior Eric Khatchadourian, who finished 11th of 220 harriers. Freshman Jake Ruzevick (17) and senior Kevin Brulois (20) also ran well for the Engineers, both finishing in the top 20. The University of New Hampshire won the 8k meter race by five seconds over New York University.
Despite strong performances by MIT's top three finishers, there was a significant drop-off in the other four runners. Sophomore Erik Stafl (66), freshman Trevor Rundell (96) and juniors Spencer Dudley (104) and Kevin DiGenova (107) all failed to place in the top 50.
The Engineers next compete in the NEWMAC Championships on October 29th at Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
