Sharon Prange Nets Academic All-America Honors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Senior Sharon Prange was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Third Team. She became the first honoree for MIT in six years and the sixth in the program's history.

Prange posted a career-high 12 points per game, 7.9 rebounds per game, a .387 field goal percentage to go along with a .738 free throw percentage, 30 blocks, 29 steals, and 26 assists in her final campaign. She ranks among the top-10 at MIT in blocks in a season (30) and blocks in a career (46). A three-time NEWMAC Academic All-Conference selection in women's basketball, she is tied for second in the conference in blocks, ranks 10th in free throw percentage and rebounds, and is 13th in scoring.
