CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Following its first season as an associate member of the Patriot League, the MIT women's openweight crew program saw 16 athletes earn a spot on the conference's Academic Honor Roll. A total of 108 student-athletes were recognized as Patriot League champion Bucknell University led the way with 33 honors, followed by the College of the Holy Cross (21), and the U.S. Naval Academy (20). Colgate University and Lehigh University rounded out the field with 12 and six accolades, respectively.
Representing the Engineers on the list were Megan Bowman, Rachel Clary, Catherine Crowley, Katie Everett, Lila Fridley, Clare Frigo, Phoebe Henderson, Rebecca Heywood, Allison Hinckley, Colleen Josephson, Molly Martin, Megan O'Donnell, Tess Saxton-Fox, Allison Simi, Sarah Simon, and Jenna Sternberg.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average (4.0 on a 5.0 scale) in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's spring championship sports.
