Liz Bond is in her first season with MIT's Novice
Openweight Women. Prior to coaching the engineers Bond coached a variety of programs with Community
Rowing, Inc. including the Novice Junior Women. She was also coaching several recreational programs for both adults and youths at CRI.
Bond began her rowing career at Northfield Mount
Hermon high school where she was a four-year coxswain racing in the Head of the Charles several times and placing second in the finals at the NEIRA championships. She then moved on to the University of Massachusetts at Amherst coxing the Women's Varisty Lightweights to the Bronze at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships.
Bond graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts in 2002, majoring in Legal Studies/Pre-Law with a minor in the Fine Arts.
