Robin Shin Places 22nd at NCAA Championship

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Rookie Robin Shin posted five victories en route to a 22nd-place finish in sabre at the NCAA Fencing National Championship held this past weekend at Penn State. As a team, MIT tied for 24th place for the second year in a row, this time sharing the ranking with Vassar College.

In her first appearance at the national level, Shin topped Division I foes Kamali Thompson (Temple), Alicia Trigeiro (UC San Diego), Alexandra Heiss (Cornell), and Eva Jellison (Stanford) in addition to Alyxandra Mattison of Division III NYU.
