CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Following a solid finish to the regular season, the MIT field hockey team was voted No. 20 in the most recent Penn Moto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Coaches Poll. The Engineers held the same position during the first three weeks of the year before falling to then No. 3 now No. 1 Middlebury College.
With a 15-2 record and a 7-1 performance in the NEWMAC, MIT secured the No. 2 seed and a first round bye for the league's upcoming championship tournament. In their fourth straight semifinal appearance, the Engineers will face either No. 3 Wellesley College or No. 6 Mount Holyoke College at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3 at Babson College.
