Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Williams, 11-2

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In its first road game of the season, the MIT women's lacrosse team fell to Williams College, 11-2, on Tuesday night. Kaitlyn Nealon and Kelly Duncan accounted for both of the Engineers' goals.

Allison Hamilos and Molly McCartin both collected four groundballs while Hamilos added 15 saves. Stephanie Leger posted four draw controls and three groundballs as Alex Wright and Laura Wacker contributed three and two draw controls, respectively.

Williams opened the game with five straight goals before Nealon's free-position shot put the Engineers on the board with 18:40 left in the half. The Ephs tacked on two more goals in the next three minutes, establishing a 7-1 advantage which would hold through the intermission.

The contest remained scoreless until the 12:45 mark when the hosts posted the first of three consecutive goals. Duncan ended MIT's scoring drought by burying a free-position shot with 4:39 left. Williams registered the final goal of the night just inside the two-minute mark.
