Grand Lake, Colo. (May 12) – Junior Emily Young (La Jolla, Calif.) represented MIT on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region Team for the second year in a row as announced by the organization on Friday. With her placement on the Berkshire Region second team, she became the third player in program history to be a repeat honoree as Deanna Lentz '06 and Casey Flynn '10 also accomplished this feat.
Young produced 60 goals and 76 draw controls this season, which both rank second all-time at MIT. In addition, her points total of 77 stands fourth. She currently ranks third in career goals (165) and draw controls (163) while standing fifth in points (199). Earlier this week, Young was voted to the NEWMAC All-Conference first team, marking her third consecutive honor from the league.
