Laura Watson Selected as NEWMAC Co-Player of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Following strong performances in a pair of pivotal conference games last week, Laura Watson was named the NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week. In a 2-0 week, she tallied 11 points on 10 goals and one assist. The junior midfielder also added four groundballs, three draw controls, and one caused turnover. Last Tuesday, Watson posted a game-high six points on five goals and one assist in a 15-9 win over Wheaton College. She then contributed a team-high five goals in Saturday's 12-10 victory at Mount Holyoke College.

MIT will begin postseason play on Wednesday, April 25 when it travels to Springfield College for the quarterfinal round of the NEWMAC Championship Tournament.
