CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The accolades continue to pour in for the MIT women's soccer team as juniors Andrea Park (Irvine, Calif.) and Emily Kuo (Chicago, Ill.) were named to the third and fourth teams of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-New England Team. The honors were the first for both players while the Engineers earned at least one selection from the NSCAA for the third year in a row and seventh time in 10 years.
Park, already a recipient of NEWMAC All-Conference and New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association plaudits, became the first defender in program history to be honored from the NSCAA. She anchored Tech's defense that generated 10 shutouts and a 0.63 goals against average. Park has also posted two goals and one assist to tie for third on the squad in goals and points (five).
Kuo, a first team NEWMAC All-Conference pick last month, continued MIT"s legacy of forwards to receive this award. She paced the Cardinal and Gray in goals (six), assists (six), points (18), and game-winning goals (four). She finished tied for second in the NEWMAC in assists and second in game-winning goals in addition to ranking sixth in points and eighth in goals.
